I believe the strongest photographs don't just show us a place. They help us feel our place within it.

When I was seven years old, my grandfather would project old family slides onto the living room wall. They were photographs of my mother before she was my mother – her childhood, her wedding, a life I had never known. Every holiday we watched them, and every year they meant a little more. Those evenings taught me that a photograph could do something extraordinary. It could collapse time, preserve memory and connect us to people and places beyond our own experience.

As a child, whenever life felt overwhelming, I would disappear into nature. I wandered alone through the bushland near my home, paying attention to birds, trees and the quiet rhythms of the natural world. Nature became a place of peace, freedom and wonder. Looking back, I realise those walks shaped not only the person I became, but the photographer I would eventually become.

Today, that same curiosity drives everything I create.

I am drawn to the relationship between people, place and the natural world. Whether I'm documenting a remote landscape, working alongside a community, or collaborating with a brand, I'm interested in the stories that exist beneath the surface – the quiet moments that reveal connection, belonging and our shared humanity.

I believe we live in an age of increasing disconnection. We move quickly, consume endlessly and rarely give ourselves permission to truly notice. Photography has become my way of slowing down. It is a way of listening before speaking, observing before photographing, and creating space for others to pause and reconnect.

My work spans editorial, tourism, commercial and long-form personal projects, but the intention remains the same: to create images that feel honest, immersive and emotionally lasting.

The camera is simply the tool.

The real work is building trust, understanding a place and telling stories that remind us of what connects us – to the Earth, to one another and to ourselves.
